How lucky am I to have such a great downline.  One of my newest recruits Jenny Hall made me this gorgeous shoe and matching card to say thanks for helping her out with her regional swaps.  Isn’t it just so cute.  I am not sure where she got the pattern from.  She used real red card stock and some retired DSP. The card used the elegant lines embossing folder too!!  Thanks Jenny!!

Finally I have got to posting the photos of my new catalogue launch.  It was held on the 29th August to coincide with one of my new recruits launch as well.  Deb and I had a great day, lots of work but worth it.  We had 23 ladies come along and create 4 projects using lots of new products from the cattie.  I didn’t remember to take pics of the projects but took some of the action on the day. We are planning another card day on the 31st October so don’t forget to add yourself to my email list so you dont miss out on all the details.

I have a wonderful husband who has done lots and lots of renovating to my craft area and the rumpus room.  He moved all the furniture out of the rumpus so I could take it over for the day as well.

This was one of the projects that was in my craft studio.  I am lucky enough to have a fantastic stamping space.  I will have to do a post soon to show you how super dooper it is!!

Sorry there is no photos of the projects ,will have to remember this for next time. I think I am slowly getting better at this blogging LOL.

I had a great day with my wonderful ladies for our weekly wednesday class.  Each week we cover different topics, this week was technique class for the month.  We made three cards and completed our technique sheets for our journals.  The three techniques we did, were The Reflection technique, misting with markers and the kissing technique.  Our weekend trip to Mount Cootha Botanic gardens was the inspiration behind the misting with markers cards, as soon as I saw these flowers I thought of the Inspired by Nature stamp set!!!

This card was made using the Inspired by nature stamp set and the level 3 hostess set Occassional Quotes. The base is blushing bride.  I have also used Wild Wasabi, soft suede and Confetti cream.  I also used the Modern lable punch and the butterfly embossilit. You may notice that the ribbon is actually retired ribbon but it matched so good with this card I decided to use it.

Stamps Lovely as a tree, on your birthday.. Inks Early Espresso, Old olive and marina mist.  Accessories Eyelets, modern label punch, hemp twine.

This card used the kissing technique.  We used Poppy Parade, Baja Breeze and whisper white cardstock.  Ink – Poppy Parade.  Accessories- Elegant Lines embossing folder, fancy flower and new scallop trim  punch, cordoury button and linen thread

Here are all the ladies, Leigh, Deb, Rebecca, Joyce, Diane, Jenny and Lorraine. That is one of the great things about being a stampin up demonstrator, all the friends you make!!!

If you would like to join us for our weekly wednesday class don’t hesitate to contact me for more details.

Hope you enjoyed my cards, I have lots more to post so stay tuned for tomorrow!

I know, I know how slack have I been.  Well actually it’s not as much slack as just really being illiterate when it comes to this blog.  But I have made a new resolution to actually try and learn what I am doing!  So here goes….  A lot has happened in my world lately.  So I am going to start with the big USA trip and my very exciting visit to Stampin’ Up Home Office in Salt Lake City.

This is the front view of the home office, I am sure you could imagine my excitment to be driving up the driveway!!!!

The kids and I in front of the “famous” Stampin up rock sign.  I must say the boys were just as excited as me to be at Stampin up.  The boys couldn’t believe that the taxi driver that drove us to our hotel didn’t know about Stampin’ Up…LOL, I have them trained well don’t  you think????

Yep that’s me with Shelli, how lucky was I that she was at the home office on the day that I visited.  All the offices are glass offices and I did see her when Amy walked me past.  Amy did say that Shelli was in a meeting and that she probably wouldn’t be able to come out so I just waved like mad and more than likely Shelli thought there was a crazy lady in the building… LOL  Then out she came and of course there was a photo opportunity!!!  She is such an amazing lady who patiently waited as I was having major camera problems, thanks Shelli ( Can you believe that my camera would decide to die when I was at SU home office)

This photo shows the amazing central atrium inside the building.  I have seen pictures of this at convention but being there and seeing it in person was just the best!!!!!!  Kerry the receptionist said that normally the waterfall only goes on at lunchtime but she had it running when I got there, how special am I??  The downstairs area is where all the staff have there lunch and the top floors are where all the offices are.

On each floor there is areas for staff to relax with beautiful furniture that truly reflects Shelli’s style.

The cupboard above was just one of many cupboards filled with fantastic projects.  Many of these projects are featured in the Catalogue.

This was the amazing wharehouse where all the orders are packed.  This is where my camera first started playing up so I thought I had a lot more photos but they didn’t come out.  But let me tell you this area is huge.  Oh to try and stuff all of that stock into my backpack.  Amy even let me stop a couple of boxes to see what people had ordered.

I also got to catch up with some of the home office staff, Carrie, Donna, Shannon and Amy.  Amy was the wonderful lady who organised my tour and escorted me around everywhere and put up with all my camera dramas as well.  Shannon and Donna, I am sure you will recognise as they have both been to Australia for training days and Convention.  How awesome to have them come down and say Hi.  (and of course another photo opportunity)  I took all the girls a big supply of licorice bullets( their favourite Australian treat!!)

Well guess I should finish off here, I took so many more photos but I think you get the picture, I had an absolutely fantastic time at home office.    If you ever get the chance, take the opportunity and go visit!! Stampin’ Up is such and awesome company to be associated with and they made me feel totally welcome and special.

Here is a very cute card I made for my SS using the sock Monkey stamp set.  I used regal rose as the card base, pink flamingo DSP, Summer sun and whisper white cardstock.  I also use felt flowers, circle scallop punch, and 13/8″ and 1 1 /4″ circle punches.

How cute is this sock monkey. I know a lot of you don’t like this set but I kinda of fell in love with it and I must say I was very happy with my sock monkey that I made using a pair of socks.  This one went off to my Secret Sister with a set of sock money cards in a magazine rack.

Here is the last sample I made using whimsical words.  I have seen some of these flowers made from one of the US leadership conferences and had to give it a go!!!  I followed a tutorial on Ilna Crouse’s blog.  I used Bella Rose DSP, choc chip corduroy buttons, very vanilla cardstock and the Scallop notes ll from the mini (Choc chip and Pink Pirouette) I used the thumping technique for the words with Choc ship and Pink Pirouette.

Ok that’s it from me don’t forget if you leave comments on everyone’s blog you will go in the draw to win some blog candy!!! Gotta love that. The next blog you are headed to is Leonie Schroder and you can get to it here.  Leonie is also the one that you need to email once you have commented on all the blogs!

How exciting Nicki has let me loose in blog land.  How clever am I, well only when Nicki is centimetres away from me!! Not sure if this blog thing is ever going to come easy…… Because it’s my turn I am going to show you a photo of my secret santa present I made for our team xmas party!! Nicki won’t let me get away without posting a photo as well!!!!!

IMG_2286_1

This is a cute little stationary desk set that I made as my Secret Santa gift.  I used a Becky Roberts tutorial!!!  I used sweet slumber DSP, So saffron and baja breeze cardstock, riding hood red grosrain ribbon, flower fancy stamp set. I also made a set of matching cards to go with it.  I am sure in time I will be able to dribble about my projects as much as Nic!!!!!

this is is for now.  So hope I have got it together enough to set up my SAB blog hop.  Where would I be  without Nicki!!!!

Well isn’t this exciting !!!!

I am here at my fabulous uplines (Nicki’s) house having a quick blog tutorial, and look at how clever I am, I’ve picked it all up – INSTANTLY!!!! It’s almost as if Nicki is typing this herself…..roflol….

I am just going to pop in a photo of a  card that I made recently, on one hand to show you something that I made for my secret sister and secondly because Nicki is insisting that i learn how to insert photos into my posts. For some strange reason she doesn’t think that you can all just telepathically envision my fantastic work…..

so here goes……wait for it……

IMG_2207_1

This card is made using the Pink flamingo Designer series paper, a whisper white base card, a bit of regal rose cardstock, and the matching regal rose wide grosgrain ribbon.

For the flowers , I have embossed the Fifth avenue floral flower with White embossing powder, cut them out with my paper snips and then attached a pearl from the Pretties Kit.

OK, now before Nicki looks too closely at what i have done i am going to attempt to post this.

Therefore, if you are reading this it all went well, if not well…..maybe we tried two or three times, who knows, ha ha ha ….

inky hugs,

KymWCSig
